Post-Partum Hair Loss

So I'm losing copious amounts of hair. My long brown hair is just coating my house. I really could make a rug. So I was thinking about why women might lose their hair post-partum, and with this on my mind last night, I fell asleep (if you can call it sleep really) and woke up with one thought.

Sprites. Yes dears, Sprites. They must be sneaking onto my bed at night and sprinkling me with magic hair-loss powder glitter. After that, they collect the hair that I carefully pull out with my hands while crying softly each day, and flick onto the floor, or toward a garbage can... they collect it and make hair for babies. Elise has hair that looks an awful lot like mine, so this makes perfect sense really. My hair will be secretly embedded into McKenna's noggin and sometime it will grow out and I will see the fruits of these wonderful Sprites.

The End.

Well now I know why I'm losing hair, too! It drives me, and my husband, absolutley batty. Although, my hair stylist said you don't lose any hair while you're pregnant, so after you've had the baby, it starts to catch up.

What a perfect explanation! I feel better now, knowing that my hair is thinning to give babies a chance at pony tails and braids. Of course, my hairloss isn't post-partum...I mean Sami is 8 years old now and it still hasn't stopped. (Keep thinking about the babies, keep thinking about the babies...)
